Safeguarding your Middlesex Savings Bank Debit Mastercard®– and your finances – is secure and convenient. MSB SafeCard lets you manage your debit card through the Middlesex Savings Bank mobile app or online banking. Lost your debit card? Instantly turn it off. Don’t want others making online purchases? Disable that function. With MSB SafeCard, you have control over your debit card.

Manage your Debit Card

Activate new debit cards. New debit cards will appear in the mobile banking app for activation. You may need to wait up to 10 days to receive your physical debit card in the mail before you are able to activate it.
Re-set your debit card PIN on your own, whenever you need to.

Transaction controls allow your debit cards to work only in specific locations or geographic areas.

Getting started with MSB SafeCard is easy!

Once logged into the Middlesex Savings Bank mobile app or online banking, navigate to MSB SafeCard, which can be found within the menu list. Select a debit card to activate or click “Add Card” to enter your debit card information. Setup is complete after agreeing to the terms and conditions and entering the security token.

All debit card alerts and controls take effect immediately upon updating.

With MSB Safecard, you can lock your debit card from any transaction (aside from reoccuring payments). You can also set blocks based on:

International: Block transactions outside your home country.
Region: Limits the use of a debit card within a specified radius.
Merchant: Block transactions based on specific types of businesses.
Transaction: Block transactions for a debit card based on transaction type.
Amount: Set a limit for the transaction amount. Transactions higher than the limit will be blocked.
Travel notifications: no need to call and let us know you're traveling. Set your travel plans in the Middlesex Savings Bank mobile banking app and enjoy your trip with no interruptions to your debit card.

No. While we recommend using the Middlesex Savings Bank mobile app for the best experience, you can also use MSB SafeCard while logged into online banking from a personal computer or other device.

When a new debit card is ordered for you, it will appear in MSB SafeCard for activation. However, you may need to wait up to 10 business days to receive the physical debit card before you can proceed with activation.
