Several financial institutions may be involved in the transfer of funds internationally and each often assesses their own fees. Locking in the foreign exchange currency rate guarantees the amount being sent, but does not prevent other types of fees from being deducted from the amount of the wire prior to Middlesex's receipt of the funds. Middlesex Savings Bank does not have specific information about what other financial institutions charge, and is not able to control the assessment of those fees.
