Middlesex Bancorp, MHC, Elects New Corporators and Trustees at 2025 Annual Meeting

May 22, 2025

At Middlesex Savings Bank, we’re proud to be guided by individuals who not only bring professional expertise to the table but also share our deep commitment to community. That’s why we’re pleased to announce the election of three new corporators and two new trustees to Middlesex Bancorp, MHC—each bringing a unique perspective to help us grow with purpose.

Our New Trustees

Olga “Cilsy” Harris

A respected leader in the insurance industry, Harris recently retired as senior vice president and chief information officer of insurance applications at Hanover Insurance Group. With more than 30 years of experience in property and casualty insurance, Harris has led major IT modernization efforts and earned national recognition, including the Women in Insurance Leadership Lifetime Achievement Award. She currently serves on the board of Girls Inc. of Worcester, continuing her legacy of mentorship and service.

Sean F. Burke

As our chief information officer, Sean Burke has already made a meaningful impact here at Middlesex. Now, in addition to his executive role, he joins the Board of Trustees and will also serve as a Corporator. With over 40 years of experience in financial services, Sean oversees all aspects of our technology strategy—from IT infrastructure and cybersecurity to digital innovation. His leadership continues to drive our mission of delivering modern, customer-focused banking solutions.

Our New Corporators

Tricia L. Appert

Tricia Appert brings more than three decades of nonprofit leadership to her role as Corporator. She currently serves as executive director at Friendly House, Inc. in Worcester, an organization dedicated to promoting neighborhood well-being since 1920. Under her guidance, Friendly House continues to support families facing housing insecurity, mental health challenges, and economic hardship—making Tricia a powerful advocate for community resilience and equity.

Phillip S. Ernst

Phillip Ernst is the co-founder and chief financial officer of Twist Bakery and Café, a family-owned business offering allergy-friendly food across its Millis and Burlington locations. Before fully committing to entrepreneurship, Phillip built a successful career working with innovative companies in the technology and life sciences sectors. He also brings experience from various nonprofit boards and tech-community initiatives, adding a well-rounded perspective to our team.

Looking Ahead

We are honored to welcome such a distinguished group of leaders as corporators and trustees,” said Dana Neshe, president and CEO of Middlesex Bancorp, MHC and Middlesex Savings Bank. “Their diverse experiences and deep commitment to both business and community will be invaluable as we continue to advance our mission as a mutual bank. Their insight and leadership will help us grow thoughtfully, continue to serve our customers meaningfully, and strengthen our impact across our community.

We’re confident these new appointments will help guide us forward as we continue building trusted relationships, investing in our communities, and delivering exceptional service.
