We are pleased to announce the promotion of two new members to our executive management team, with Dawn Seymour appointed as chief banking operations officer and Michelle Simms assuming the role of chief financial officer. With nearly 40 years of combined banking experience, they bring a wealth of expertise and insight to their roles, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to delivering exceptional service to its customers.
Seymour will oversee essential banking operations, including commercial loan servicing, deposit and retirement operations, electronic banking, and payment operations. With over twenty years of experience at Middlesex, she is known for her collaborative approach to problem-solving, process optimization, and leading innovations in banking technology.
Having started her banking career in a customer service role, Seymour progressively advanced through various roles in retail banking administration, product development, and technology. Her journey culminated in leadership positions, including business analysis manager, project manager, and IT director of business solutions. In addition to her remarkable professional trajectory, she actively contributes to the community by serving on the boards of the Buddy Dog Humane Society and the Boys and Girls Club of MetroWest.
Seymour states,
In her new role as chief financial officer, Simms is responsible for managing all facets of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax planning, and financial risk management.
With nearly 14 years of experience at Middlesex Savings Bank, she has held several roles, including accounting manager, and most recently, director of accounting & financial reporting. Prior to her tenure at the bank, she spent seven years at Wolf & Company, PC, where she led audits for financial institutions. In addition to her professional accomplishments, she demonstrates a strong commitment to community service, currently serving as treasurer for both the Wayside Youth & Family Support Network and Jeff’s Place.
