Five Ways to Tune up Your Finances

April 01, 2023
April is Financial Literacy Month, and it’s a good opportunity to check in on your finances and set a plan to improve them. Saving, budgeting, and navigating certain life events can feel overwhelming, but taking gradual steps can help you achieve your goals and feel good about your financial plan for the future.

Here are some ways to tune up your finances:

  1. Check in on your annual budget. If you need help getting started, learn how to create a simple budget.

  2. If applicable, review your family’s budget or learn how to set one up. It’s also never too late to start talking with your kids about the importance of budgeting and saving. Check out these tips from the American Bankers Association.

  3. Are you planning for a rainy day? Check in on your emergency savings fund or learn how to set one up.
