At Middlesex Savings Bank, we believe strong communities are built by people who lead with compassion, collaboration and a commitment to making a difference. That’s why we’re proud to recognize Susan Dietrich, Executive Director of the Medway Food Pantry, as the recipient of the 2026 John R. Heerwagen Award.
Since 2017, Susan has led the Medway Food Pantry through significant growth and transformation, always putting the needs of the people it serves first. As a volunteer, she has helped transition the organization into an independent nonprofit, unite Medway’s two food pantries and advance plans for a permanent location to better serve the community.
Susan’s impact extends beyond the pantry itself. Through a partnership with Medway Public Schools, she helped develop a grocery delivery program that now provides food to up to 30 school families each week. Her ability to bring together volunteers, community organizations and local supporters has strengthened the pantry’s ability to address food insecurity.
