As Middlesex continues to focus on best serving the needs of our business customers, we are pleased to announce two new leadership appointments. We recently welcomed Kirsten Madsen as our new director of cash management and payment services and congratulated Brian Hanley on his promotion to director of business banking.
Madsen brings more than 15 years of financial services experience to her position. She most recently worked for Flagstar Bank, where she led the operations and risk oversight for approximately 150 retail branches in three states. Prior to that, she spent 10 years with Bank of America, where she oversaw the implementation and servicing of treasury products for enterprise clients. She specializes in scaling and optimizing operations at multi-regional financial institutions, skills which she will use to improve our business services for cash flow management.
Hanley’s promotion builds on a 30-year career in banking, including 17 years and counting here at Middlesex Savings Bank. In his previous role at Middlesex, he managed a portfolio of commercial loan relationships while overseeing a team of lenders. He will continue these responsibilities, at a higher level, as part of his new position. Hanley came to Middlesex Savings Bank by way of a merger with Strata Bank 2009, where he had been working in retail banking. His promotion is a reflection of his high standard of work and his dedication to providing supportive, long-term relationships and banking solutions for the many local businesses we serve.
“Our business customers rely on knowledgeable, relationship-focused leaders who understand their goals and can deliver practical financial solutions,” said Geoff Homoliski, chief commercial banking officer at Middlesex Savings Bank. “Kirsten and Brian are both seasoned, forward-thinking bankers, dedicated to providing excellent service. I am confident they will use their skills and insights to improve our offerings and strengthen our relationships with existing business customers while also building new ones.”
