You don’t need to visit a branch – you can open your Freedom Checking Account online in about 10 minutes. We’ll mail your checks and debit card, but you can start using Online Bill Pay or P2P pay as soon as your account is approved, digitally signed, funded and your account number issued.

All accounts are subject to approval.

Freedom Blue: Minimum of $1.00 to open account. Receive five rebates of non-Middlesex ATM surcharge fees per statement cycle with at least one direct deposit during the statement cycle. If account holder is under 26 years of age, electronic deposit/payment is not required to receive five ATM reimbursements.

*Freedom Gold: Open your account with as little as $1.00. Monthly maintenance charge of $19 is waived if your combined balances are $10,000 or more. Combined balances are average monthly balances in all deposit accounts plus all outstanding portfolio loan balances. In addition, all non-Middlesex ATM surcharge fees will be reimbursed if your combined balances are $10,000 or more.

**Freedom Platinum: Open your account with as little as $1.00. Monthly maintenance charge of $29 is waived if your combined balances are $50,000 or more. Combined balances are average monthly balances in all deposit accounts plus all outstanding portfolio loan balances. In addition, all non-Middlesex ATM surcharge fees will be reimbursed if your combined balances are $50,000 or more.
