Switching to Middlesex

There are basically 4 simple steps for transferring your banking to us. Feel free to call our customer information center at any step along the way for any question, big or small. That's why we're here.


Step 1 - Open a new Middlesex checking account (need to see which checking options suits you best?  you can do that right here).  This can be done online, by visiting one of our convenient community branches, or by calling our customer information center at 1-877-463-6287.

Step 2 - Transfer any direct deposits you may have including social security. Social security direct deposit changes can be made by calling 1-800-772-1213 or visiting

Step 3 – Switch auto/electronic payments.  If you need assistance or have a question with existing auto payments, please call our customer information center at 1-877-463-6287 or stop by a community branch.

Step 4 - Once all outstanding checks and automatic payments have cleared through your old account, contact your former bank to request the account be closed.
