Apple PayTM is a free mobile payment service that lets you use your iPhone 6 (or newer model) or Apple WatchTM to pay for goods and services simply by holding your device near a contactless reader at a retailer that accepts Apple Pay.
Using Apple Pay is more secure than using your plastic credit or debit card because it does not reveal your card information. Apple Pay uses tokenization, which is the process of replacing sensitive data (your card number) with encrypted symbols. So in the unlikely event of a retail data breach, no one can see your information.
Apple Pay does away with the need to use your credit or debit card and enter your PIN when making a purchase. Apple Pay wakes up automatically whenever you approach a contactless reader. When you are ready to pay, just press your finger on Touch IDTM. If you are using the Apple Watch, double-click the side button. You will see "Done" and a checkmark on your screen, which indicates that your payment is complete. Just look for these symbols at any of the more than 750,000 stores in the U.S. that accept Apple Pay.
Just tap the Wallet app that's already on your iPhone and follow the instructions to upload your Middlesex Savings Bank Debit Mastercard®. It's easy. And if your debit card is already connected to your iTunes account, just enter the card security code within Wallet. Follow the instructions and you're ready to go.
Take a guided tour of Apple Pay in less than 90 seconds.
