Banking online with Middlesex Savings Banking is convenient and easy to use. Here is all you'll need to know as you transition from Strata Bank.
Key Dates:
- Strata customers will have access to Online Banking and Bill Pay on Stratabank.com until Friday, August 14, at 6:00 PM.
- During the August 14th weekend, there will be no Online Banking or Bill Pay access.
- Starting Monday 8/17, you will be able to access Online Banking and Bill Pay. Click here to login securely.
Getting Started with Online Banking and Bill Payment:
- Your Login ID will be the same as with Stratabank.com, however, passwords for Personal Online Banking customers will be MSBankXXXX, where XXXX are the last 4 digits of your Tax ID Number.
- Strata Online Banking customers that are also MSB Online Banking Customers will have 2 separate Login Ids after conversion and will need to contact MSB to combine the 2 Logins.
- The first time you login, you will be required to agree to the terms of our Online Banking service. You will also need to complete the “Customer Information” screen the first time you log on.
- Your password MUST be changed the first time you sign on. Your password must be at least 8 characters long. Your password must have at least 3 of the following: upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers, and special characters. It must always be entered the way you specify. Please remember that your password is case sensitive.
- For your security, you will be prompted to choose an Icon and pass phrase as part of our multi-factor authentication process. You will be presented with a list of challenge questions that you must complete.
Important! Please Re-Schedule Your Repeating Internal Transfers
If you have any automatic internal transfers – for example, a monthly transfer from checking to savings – these will have to be re-scheduled. Using the transfer screen, choose the frequency options at the drop down box at the bottom. Repeating transfers are processed at 3:00PM on the scheduled business day. If a date falls on a weekend or holiday, the transfer will process on the next business day.
Future Dated Transfers - One time future dated transfers will process by 8:00AM on the scheduled business day. If a date falls on a weekend or holiday, the transfer will process on the next business day.
Check Images - Please note that your check images will not be available through online banking for checks paid prior to 8/17/2009, however we can provide you with a check image if needed. Check images will be available through online banking for checks paid beginning 8/17/2009.
Bill Pay via CheckFree:
Middlesex Savings Bank uses CheckFree for Bill Payment services. CheckFree is the industry leader with its powerful, but easy to use tools.
- All of your settings, from payees to regularly scheduled payments will have been automatically transferred over for you. However, Please check your payees to verify account numbers and correct addresses.
How are payments made – via check or electronically?
- When you begin to schedule a payment, if the first available pay date is the next business day, that payment will be made electronically. It will be received on that date. The system automatically selects how each payment will be processed.
- Whenever possible, transactions are made electronically; however, we are only able to process electronic payments to certain Payees.If a Payee does not receive electronic payments, our computer system analyzes alternatives. Payments scheduled for a larger dollar amount will normally process directly from your bank account.
- The system may also select individual corporate checks be sent to the Payee. This may be the result of the Payee directly requesting single payments or for other reasons. There are many factors considered before a method is selected. Therefore, the system is set up to select the best possible payment method automatically.
