Middlesex Savings Bank Custom Calendar to arrive in branches Thanksgiving week.
For the seventh year in a row Middlesex Savings Bank has produced its custom calendar. Since 2005 Middlesex Savings Bank has engaged some of the areas outstanding professional photographers to capture the spirit and beauty of the 24 towns served by the bank. Past editions have featured memorable scenes of villages, farms, downtowns and homes that are unique to our area. This year will be no exception to that tradition.
This year’s calendar features scenes connected to some of the accomplished people who have called our region home. The cover features the estate of Christian Herter, the former Massachusetts governor and U.S. Secretary of State. March features the elegant interior to the Concord Free Public Library with its tributes to Emerson and Thoreau, while August features a charming stone chapel built by noted early twentieth century architect Ralph Adams Cram.
Also featured are some of the ways in which local residents enjoy our towns and villages. Curlers throw stones down the ice at Wayland’s Broomstones Curling Club in February. Antique car enthusiasts gather at Wellesley’s Elm Bank in June, while July sees Littleton residents enjoy the simple pleasures of a hot dog at Ed’s Weenies, a local institution.
